exhibition spanned across eight halls of the
China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC) and
the Grand Metropark Hotel, with 693 exhibitors
occupying a total area of 55,000 square meters.
The event attracted 73,000 visits over three days.
The international section of the fair featured
100 exhibitors, displaying 190 global brands from
20 countries and regions. Along with the strong
presence of domestic exhibitors ̶ 593 Chinese
companies ̶ international participants included
a variety of notable brands. Among them, 25
Korean companies presented eyewear brands
such as FakeMe, Hi Vision, i-Codi, Holy Nara,
Huvitz and Projekt Produkt etc. German brands
like ByWP, Carl Zeiss, Mykita, and Rodenstock
also garnered attention, while emerging eyewear
from Iceland’s Reykjavik and Spain’s LOOL added
further diversity to the exhibition. Japanese
designer brands such as 999.9, BJ Classic
Collection, Masunaga, Matsuda, Mr. Gentlemen,
Nativeson, and TVR were also featured.
CIOF 2024 garnered extensive media coverage,
thanks to its collaboration with leading optical Trade show organisers included MIDO (Italy),
publications, industry associations, and exhibition Opti Munich (Germany), SILMO (France), DIOPS
organisers globally. Media partners included (Korea) and Vision Expo (USA). Additionally,
well-known optical publications including 20/20 the fair was backed by associations like Hong
Europe (Italy), China Glasses Science-Technology, Kong Optical Manufacturers Association,
TEF Magazine (Netherlands), Loop (Taiwan), Hong Kong Trade Development Council and
MAFO (Germany), The Indian Optician (India), trade organisations such as the Korea Trade-
Optical Journal (USA), Optical World (UK) Vision Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA)
Plus (India, Singapore, UAE), and VEKO (Russia). and the Embassy of Spain – Economic and
Commercial Office. This international support
further emphasised the fair’s global relevance
and importance as a key networking and
business platform.
Looking ahead, the optical industry will
have more opportunities to explore future
trends and innovations in 2025. The 23 China

(Shanghai) International Optics Fair (SIOF
2025) will be held from February 20-22, 2025, in
Shanghai, with an expanded exhibition area of
110,000 square meters. The next edition of CIOF,
the 36 China International Optics Fair (CIOF

2025), is scheduled to take place in Beijing from
September 9-11, 2025. As the premier autumn
event for the optical industry, CIOF 2025 will
provide valuable insights and opportunities for
exhibitors, buyers, and professionals alike.
