of Health Sciences (MGMIHS) in Navi
TMumbai is the Mahatma Gandhi
Mission Trust. It was established in 1982 by
Kamalkishore N Kadam to provide qualitative
education by applying innovative and GUEST SPEAKER YOGITA RAJGANDHI GIVING HER
dynamic pedagogical techniques. Since PRESENTATION AT THE EVENT
it was founded the Trust has focused on
providing health care services to all, and its
Institute aims to be a top ranking centre of
excellence in health science education, health
care and health research.
The MGM School of Biomedical Science’s
Department of Optometry organised
a community eye health workshop for
optometry students on 27 October 2021 at
MGMIHS-Kamothe. The programme was well
organised thanks to optometrist Rohit Gupta YOGITA EXPLAINING THE PROCESS TO OPTOMETRY
who was the coordinator and organiser. STUDENTS
Yogita L Rajgandhi, the guest speaker,
was welcomed by the Master of Optometry
students and Mr Gupta, who introduced and
felicitated the eminent senior optometrist
with a special memento as a symbol of
Mahatma Gandhi.
Ms Rajgandhi’s presentation laid great
emphasis on the role and work of the World
Health Organization (WHO), the International
Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB),
and VISION 2020: The Right to Sight (V2020),
a global program that was established in YOGITA RAJGANDHI IN CONVERSATION WITH
partnership in 1999 by the IAPB and the ATTENDEES
