TRAINING AT
TAMANNA
INSTITUTE
he department of optometry at the
Tamanna Institute of Allied Health
TSciences in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh,
organised the ninth in its series of contact
lens training programmes at its campus from
24 to 30 September 2021.
Dr Suresh Dwivedi, director of the
Tamanna Institute, presided over the opening
function. The programme was inaugurated
by Dr Kanwar Jeet Singh, professor and head
of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmologists
(RIO), Manohar Lal Netra Chikitaslaya,
Prayagraj by lighting the ceremonial lamp
and Saraswati Puja or prayers to the goddess
of learning. President of the Indian Optometry
Federation (IOF), scientist Sanjay Mishra from
the All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS) New Delhi too graced the occasion.
Dr Singh began his inaugural address
by speaking about the importance of
conducting such workshops. He stressed the
importance of spreading awareness about LIGHTING OF THE CEREMONIAL LAMP BY THE
