IVI AND JSW FOUNDATION

Another IVI vision screening programme
was supported by the JSW Foundation. The
initiative is making a significant impact in
Minjur, Ponneri, Ennore, and surrounding areas.

As part of the programme, screenings were
conducted across 13 villages, benefiting 1,800
individuals. Of those screened, 1,026 people
diagnosed with refractive errors received free
spectacles at a distribution event in Ennore.
IVI’s CEO, Vinod Daniel, emphasised that
clear vision helped in building self-confidence,
increasing productivity, and enhancing job
prospects. He pointed out that improved
vision helped reduce the risk of falls, injuries,
and road accidents for older adults, ultimately
promoting safety and well-being. He also
expressed gratitude to the JSW Foundation
for its support in making quality eye care
accessible to those in need, ensuring that more
individuals benefit from improved vision and a
better quality of life.
Representatives from the JSW Foundation
attended the distribution event, witnessing
first-hand how access to vision care empowers
individuals by improving their ability to work,
perform daily activities, and participate actively
