resistance. They offer considerable elasticity,
contributing to superior durability, perfect
adaptability and optimal comfort. The family
coat of arms in silver decorates every right hinge.
Each pair of glasses is made from sheets with
a thickness between 8 and 12 mm, first cut using
a 5-axis machine and then faceted manually
one by one to obtain a three-dimensional
appearance, which is a distinctive feature of
Takaori designs. As the production method of
the sheets is done without the use of adhesives
and solvents, it reduces the use of plasticisers.
The polishing process reveals the craftsmanship
of the most experienced master craftsman.
Precision is achieved thanks to expertise and
meticulous manual work that takes a significant
amount of time and requires scrupulous
attention to every detail.
In September 2023, Takaori introduced a
specific fit for the European market. Two years
of research went into creating the best possible
European fit. The European collection has been
enriched with additional details compared to the
one with the Asian fit making each piece even
more exclusive. These include the engraving in
the temple, the use of a fully machined metal
core, and the engraving of the T, the brand’s
initial, on the external part of the temple. Each
frame is ensconced in a case handmade with
100% natural leather, with the interior lined in a
soft, smooth fabric.
The official debut of the Takaori collection in
Europe is scheduled during the Bold Optical Fair
in the Netherlands on 8 and 9 September 2024.
