et up in 2013, the Vision Paramedical and
Management Institute (VPMI) in Sangli
Scity, Maharashtra, comprises a hospital
for patient care and a college. Its centre for
paramedical courses offers diploma, degree
and master’s courses in optometry and is
continuously working on adding innovative
curriculum. So far 180 students have passed out
from the college.
The institute, in collaboration with the Maha
Optometry Association (MOA), organised a
district level conference on 7 July 2024. Titled
OPTOEVE-2024, the education programme
