InWith Corp. presented its technologically progressive device for
viewing virtual worlds at the CES event held in January at Las Vegas.
The new wearable is an electronic soft contact lens that InWith plans
to release to the public after it receives FDA approval, later this year.
As per a company release, the first applications of the technology
will be “tunable vision” via mobile device and “augmented vision”
coupled with mobile device control. It aims to provide a fully immersive
gateway to the metaverse (a network of 3D virtual worlds focused
on social connection). The company claims that this lightweight
technology will allow users to seamlessly and inconspicuously flit
between viewing the metaverse and the real world.
